Ann Arbor Farmers Market Guide: What to Know Before You Go

June 16, 2026

The Ann Arbor Farmers Market is one of the oldest and most beloved in Michigan, drawing locals every Wednesday and Saturday from May through December. If you’ve never been — or want to get more out of your visits — here’s what to know.

Ann Arbor Farmers Market (Kerrytown)

Location: 315 Detroit St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (in the Kerrytown Market & Shops district)
Hours: Wednesday 7am–3pm and Saturday 7am–3pm, May through December
Indoor winter market: Saturdays only, January through April

The market runs year-round in some form, but the full outdoor season (May–December) is when you’ll find the widest selection — dozens of vendors selling vegetables, fruits, meat, cheese, baked goods, flowers, honey, and more.

What to Buy and When

Tips for First-Timers

Argus Farm Stop — Three Locations

Can’t make it on market days? Argus Farm Stop operates like a farmers market every single day of the week. With three Ann Arbor locations — Liberty Street, Packard Market, and Packard Café — Argus sources from over 200 local farms and is open daily 8am–8pm.

Chelsea Farmers Market

Chelsea hosts a weekly market downtown on Saturdays 8am–1pm from June through October. Smaller and more relaxed than Ann Arbor, it’s a great option for residents on the western side of the county. Several farms listed on A2 Farm Finder — including Tantre Farm — sell at the Chelsea market.

Saline Open Air Market

The Saline market runs on Thursdays 3–7pm from June through October in downtown Saline. A convenient weekday option for south Washtenaw County residents.
