The Ann Arbor Jaycees have been putting on their Independence Day Parade for 36 years, and itβs one of the best ways to celebrate the 4th in the area. Floats, marching bands, dance troupes, sports teams, costumed characters, and local civic groups make up the procession through downtown.
Parade Details
- Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026
- Start Time: 10am
- Route: Steps off at State St & North University β north to Liberty St β west on Liberty to Main St β south on Main to William St β ends at Thompson St
- Admission: Free β just stake out a spot along the route
Tips
- Arrive by 9:30am for a good viewing spot, especially along Main St
- Parking in downtown Ann Arbor structures is available β expect it to fill up by 9am
- The whole parade takes about 1.5β2 hours
