Community Farm of Ann Arbor is Michigan’s very first CSA, founded in 1988, and one of the few farms in Michigan continuously practicing biodynamic agriculture. The farm grows heirloom vegetables and fruit trees (peach, apple, pear, paw-paw), keeps bees, and raises milk cows, goats, and sheep on preserved land with two Civil War-era barns.
Members are true farm community participants — not just box subscribers. Membership uses a sliding scale for dues, includes free admission to workshops (beekeeping, food preservation, soil health, and more), use of the farm, and weekly on-farm produce pickup. The 2026 Member Commitment Form is available on their website.
